Minutes, 1853-1854, of the Clava Fratrum society, comprised of four students of Phillips Exeter Academy of Exeter, New Hampshire. Volume includes the society bylaws and minutes, including humorous entries recounting the social gatherings, ceremonial activities, and social outings of club members. Members of the group were: George Gorham, of Canandaigua, New York; Edward Antis Hayes, of Canandaigua, New York; Wendell Davis, of Greenfield, Massachusetts; and Francis Ormond French, of Washington, D.C. Also included are three pages of unidentified accounts, dated New York, 1873, recording substantial purchases and sales of unspecified merchandise.
